Ballet's Most Beloved Reclaims Centerstage
No work in classical ballet has been adored and restaged as Tsaichovsky's Swan Lake. Deemed as a haunting coming-of-age tale of an innocent prince whose doomed love for the swan queen leads him from passion to betrayal, this 1877 original Moscow masterpiece would find glory through the internationally acclaimed grace of the Cultural Center of the Philippines' (CCP) very own, the Philippine Ballet Theater (PBT).Beginning July 1, at the CCP Main Theater, get a chance to watch for yourself this enigmatic story unfold. The lead role of Prince Siegfried is special guest artist from The Houston Ballet, Mr. Linnar Looris; while Swan Queen Odette and Odile would be played by PBT's rising stars, Tiffany Mangulabnan and Bianca Trocino.

Why I want to watch Philippine Ballet Theater's Swan Lake?

My 6-year-old daughter and my 86-year old "mommy-lola" enjoys the ballet performance at CCP that we've got to watch one last year. I hope to see the joys in their eyes once again as they watch Philippine Ballet Theater's Swan Lake.
Also, this would keep my little ballerina inspired even more. I did not studied ballet, nor learn about what it takes to be a ballerina. Through treating my daughter to a ballet performance, I can let my her know that I'm supporting her in every way that I can.

I want to win because I love Swan Lake but I think my baby girl who is a prima ballerina wannabe, loves it waaay more than Lady gaga! Although it may seem like just plain fluff and feathers, there's some real substance in the story that Maia and I both love. I'm pretty sure my Maia will love it to bits! (5)

6. I want to watch Philippine Ballet Theater's Swan Lake because I love ballet, although I don't know how. I just enjoy watching it. The last time I actually saw one live was when I was still a kid. My parents brought us to CCP to watch a ballet performance, and it was just lovely.
