Introducing, Book to Basics
This Tuesy Tuesday post is dedicated to introducing to all of you my Book to Basics page. As you can see just below my header, I have placed a selection of links to classified pages. As follows, the Beautiful Things page is the homepage of my blog, basically containing the entire archive of my blog; the Book to Basics page is a page which will list down all links to book review posts; the Beauty & Wellness page is for anything related to my definition of what is beautiful and what contributes to a holistic wellness; the Talk to K page is my invitation to all of you, my beloved readers, to not fear and interact with yours truly; and the Portfolio page is for a brief compilation of links leading to my published articles and executed projects (although please be aware that this page does not tally all of my accomplishments, as I don't really want to make blogging a tedious task).
Whew, that's a lot of talking!
All of my friends know I love books, and I'm not particularly "tuesy" when it comes to what I read. This is why just like with music, I take advantage of my not being choosy with literature by making sure I cover as much variety of stories so I can suggest to friends and family, even acquaintances, "the perfect read".
Besides, also same with music, I have a habit of judging people based on what they read. Come to think of it, that reminds me of a special bookmark I purchased from Fullybooked which quoted "Always read stuff that will make you look good if you die in the middle of it." I think books say a lot about who we are. I'm sure my library says a lot about who I am and whether it's a good or a bad statement, as long as it is a bold one backed up by hefty dosages of inspiration and emotion combined, I really don't mind.
This September, I would finally be launching my Book Review section where I would be featuring and reviewing various titles from fiction to non-fiction, kids to adult. Primarily, I aim to release one Book Review every two weeks so as to always retain quality pf my reviews and so I will have enough time to read the books; but of course this would vary.
I will be reviewing books using different approaches, so watch for that. If upon reading my blog posts or reviews you find that our personality and/or taste blends well, I invite you to join the Book Club I started on Facebook some few weeks ago.
Likewise, I am always open for comments, reactions and book suggestions. Please don't hesitate to send me anything by commenting on this blog or privately sending me a message here. Should you wish for me to read your work, for a review or for workshop, I am more than interested.
Together let's discover the wonderful world of words. Tonight, we pack.

Again, looking forward to your book suggestions. To be updated with more upcoming projects and even contests here on my blog, make sure you join my Facebook page here.

I admire people who love to read. I was never a book lover but my bookworm husband has inspired me. In fact, I read blogs now. :)
ReplyDeleteCheers to you! Happy reading and writing as well! :)
By the way, good luck and have fun with your book reviews! :)
