February Beauty Awards: Lashes to love
Previously I shared how I'm mad about lashes. Now, I'll share with you what I've been playing with as love birds suddenly appear all month long. :)
Lash lovers such as I generally want the following: thick curls and long lashes. Luckily, this month of February, I discovered two wonderful products that perfectly and consistently delivers the results I need.
For thick curls:
When one thinks of summer, it's not possible to exclude the beach from one's imaginings. However, I'm not sure if this would apply to all, but I think when one thinks of the beach, it's also difficult to not think of a henna tattoo!
Here's a treat for henna lovers. It's the type of henna you can actually wear and flaunt every day at work or even at school! It's prettifying and is definitely worth-the-proof, Proof 10 Henna Fix mascara by Etude House (kidding aside, I meant to say waterproof. :p)
The pros about this mascara is it's formulation. As the name suggests, it has henna as one of its components and with that you can only expect the blackest of black for your lashes for every application. I really like it because having super black lashes makes an illusion of having thick lashes = meaning, lashes look volumized sans thick wax coats for your lash strands! Volumizing mascara usually derives its volumizing capability from coating lash strands with mascara; however, that results to a rather "heavy" coverage for your pretty lashes and you know, truth is, every girl needs a break from all that load!
For those who don't want to sacrifice "thick lashes" just to have that "break", Henna Fix mascara will save you from your woes. I really love it and I use it especially when I prefer skipping eyeliner. The "thickness" of my lashes makes up for it anyway!

Check out Henna Fix mascara wand. It is responsible for delivering those thick blackest of black lashes every time! :) |
If you're a friend on Facebook (if not yet, pls add me now), then you know that Long Lashes made us excited+busy+frantic+giddy thanks to Maybelline New York's Long Extreme Stiletto Mascara. I did a giveaway featuring the product (Thanks Maybelline!) and the announcement of winners are below. But before that, let me tell you what made this product worthy of it's name. (I have an ongoing giveaway until Feb. 28, click here.)
Known to be the no.1 lash lengthening mascara in the US, since Stiletto mascara arrived Philippine shores, I've heard rave after rave about it. I guess it was only natural that http://www.lovingsunshine.com/ takes a dip into it right? No regrets, may I point it out! If you want sleek, if you want sexy, the Stilleto Mascara should be part of your kikay kit!
The tube looks very unique, especially compared to other trademark Mascaras from Maybelline New York like: Great Lash, Cat's Eye, Magnum, etc. It has a "manly" appeal, if you ask me. Compared to other mascaras (not just Maybelline's) Lash Stiletto stands out because of it's harsh yet bold solid shape. . . and what does it try to "copy" with it's shape, well you guessed it right! Your Stiletto heels!
I think what Maybelline did with Lash Stiletto is very empowering, not only as a cosmetic product (since it does perform its lengthening duties so well) but also as a symbol for the strong independent and modern woman. They're having a Stiletto run, the first in the Philippines, and I think it's such an exciting project that many would find most enjoyable to participate in. I suggest you like Maybelline Philippines Facebook fan page to know more about the Stiletto Run!
Stiletto Mascara leaves a very light yet extremely lash defining and lengthening coverage which I can recommend for make-up lovers especially as the hot summer season slowly knocks in our every day grind.
For extremely long lashes, Maybelline Long Extreme Stiletto Mascara. |
Of course, the winners, please click on the photo here for better viewing. :) Congratulations to all of you!
