Bird's Nests and Love
Tweet
Like this post if you love your moms.
Hello Sunshine! It’s Mother’s Day weekend, and while most of you are probably preparing the surprise of a lifetime, I’d like to share with you a little story which I find most apt for mothers and nature lovers alike. Today, we talk about the bird’s nest—a product of a mother bird’s love to her younglings.
A bird’s nest, as the name suggests, is the area in which a mother bird rests her eggs while hatching and even after. Baby birds find a home in it, up until they learn the magical art of flying themselves. It is a home, built with love and affection, for family. This brings me to thinking about families. How there truly is no place like home.
This Mother’s Day, I want to thank all mother’s out there for sharing your light to the world. I can only imagine, how hard of a job it could be—and even if you feel frustrated for having done a bad one (but sometimes it isn’t that bad at all), you should know that the very fact that you braved motherhood and sacrificed a bit of your freedom into guiding a new softer heartbeat towards the right path, is heroism. Mothers from all over the world deserve only the best out of their efforts. I must say, dedicating just one day for moms isn’t enough to compensate everything moms do to their children, but it’s a start.
Bird’s nests are symbols of heroism—a symbol of how heroism can be found even in the littlest of things. In the language of beauty, bird’s nests are a symbol of restoration—a hope for saving your youth for more years to come. It is used in premium beauty products like facial skincare because of its potency and restorative factors. And this I find most apt for this weekend.
Mother’s all around the world are symbols of hope and heroism—just as bird’s nests are…
wherever they are, is home.
