Unboxing September BDJ Box
Hello Sunshine! It's that time of the month when we unbox the September BDJ Box* together. The September BDJ Box is pretty loaded so ready your tresses (clue) and let's discover beautiful things!
Over-all, the September BDJ Box is a winner because majority of the items it included are items I would like to try--the whole point of sample boxes. Five out of the 10 items in the box are new products I'm very excited to try; while three of its contents are items I'm already a loyal user of.
For a Php580/month subscription, this box has a value of Php1,990.80 (excluding the PAC voucher since it's not an item), but if you would include it this box' value soars at Php3,490.80! That's 500% greater than the subscription fee, I computed! Haha
Godiva Licowhite Whitening Facial Wash 4 6ml sachets (approx Php41)
This is said to be a low foaming and soap-free formula that is infused with Licorice Root extract made to gently cleanse skin and leave it with a softer and smoother glow. While I'm not going to use this item in a foreseeable future since I'm slated to use a more professional face care regimen from my derma, facial wash sachets are welcome because I take them with me when traveling.Godiva LicoWhite Whitening Toner 60ml, Php60
I think it's amazing that this costs only a peso per ml, considering it's formulated with Glabridin, an active that effectively evens skintone and removes residual makeup. However, same reason, I can't use this for now... but maybe for traveling or sleepovers, when I can't take the whole she-bang of my routine with me.Pond's Dewy Rose Gel 10g, Php150
Super excited to try this! I will definitely find a way to include this in my strict routine, haha! I love anything roses, and this gel as the name suggests has Rose Lumiere Serum which goes deep into the skin to lighten dark spots and smoothen pores! Also, as the name suggests, it promises a rosy glow.Cream Silk Daily Treatment Conditioner 180ml, Php134
The box includes two, and I got the Dry Rescue (orange) and Damage Control (blue) variants. While I'm happy I got a full-sized pair, of variants that actually fit my hair needs, I've tried these two already so no more surprise in trying my 'samples' from this September BDJ Box. Still, so happy because I got items I actually am sure I'd love. I love the daily treatment conditioner line because I have very damaged hair and I need app the help I can get.Dove Intense Repair Daily Hair Vitamin 6ml x 6 capsules, Php75 (Read my Dove Hair Vitamin review here)
The September BDJ Box included two sheets, which is pretty cool because this gives me.more chance to try out this new hair treat. I've tried similar products but this would be my first time to try Dove's. Just weirded out that it has Mineral Oil because I've read not so good stuff about mineral oil... for the skin. But will see. I think hair science is a different world, and I trust the brand Dove so let's do this!Jergens Daily Moisture 200ml, Php153
I remember I've been a loyal Jergens user during my college years, and I especially love their variant that prevents hair growth... but I must admit I haven't tried anything from the brand lately and it's very nice to see they have new stuff to offer. Love the packaging, and very excited to try this particular moisturizer because it's ideal for dry skin, thanks to its healthy blend of Silk Proteins and Citrus extracts.Jergens Ultra Healing Lotion 100ml, Php88
I hope I'm not mistaken, but I think this is the lotion that my girlfriend uses every time she gets a tattoo! I'm definitely sharing this bottle with her to inform her that her 'tattoo lotion' is now reformulated(?) or at least repackaged! Hm, I really think it's reformulated because if this is the same Ultra Healing variant as before, I just read our bottle right now and I didn't spot the active Hydralucence Blend in the old formula. Hydralucence Blend is said to go deep into the skin's surface to heal dryness from the source (maybe this is why it's recommended to heal tattoos!)Beach Hut Clear Spray Sunblock 180ml, 390
Now that I'm strictly following an SPF on the face routine, I'm happy to give this baby a roll so I can extend my SPF regimen to my body. Now that I'm turning 26 I really want to take my skincare seriously, and that includes using sun protection on top of potent skincare choices.FS Single Eyeshadow 4g, Php150
This is one big single shadow pan! I love it. And I also got a shade that matches my taste, that is Olive Tree. I haven't tried makeup from FS so I'm pretty excited to try this out too. It is said to have a silky texture upon application so I am very optimistic about this.FS Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner 5ml, Php299
When it comes to gel liners, I must admit I haven't explored much... but perfect timing because I've been really considering buying a brown gel liner just last weekend! Yes, I got a brown gel liner from my September BDJ Box, and it's super perfect timing. Will give this a try ASAP and let you know how it goes.PAC Make Over Voucher, Php1,500
Frankly, I'm not a fan of makeup vouchers because I don't see myself using them. I have had really bad experience from counter makeup (from more premium brands, where they use unkept makeup or tools to do me over) and I won't bring myself to the risks involved ever again...Over-all, the September BDJ Box is a winner because majority of the items it included are items I would like to try--the whole point of sample boxes.
